MSc in Medical Lab Technology at TVM and Kozhikode; apply online

Online applications can be submitted till June 10 for admission to the two-year MSc Medical Lab Technology (MLT) course, which is conducted at the Government Medical College in Thiruvananthapuram and the MIMS College of Allied Health Sciences in Kozhikode.

A three-hour entrance test (in the OMR pattern) will be held in Thiruvananthapuram.

The application fee is Rs 1,200, while the fee for candidates from the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories is Rs 600.

The applicants must have completed the BSc MLT course with a minimum of 55 per cent marks. Their age should not exceed 40 as on May 17, 2023. The upper-age limit is 49 for those availing the service quota.

Admissions are subject to reservation norms.

Seats, fee

The Thiruvananthapuram Medical College has 12 seats for the course with 4 each in the branches of Microbiology, Biochemistry and Pathology. The MIMS College in Kozhikode, which is a self-financing one, has 15 seats with five seats in each of these three branches. At the latter college, there are seven seats in the government quota and eight seats in the management quota. 

A fee of Rs 45,210 has to be paid at the government college in the first year.
