Amritha Mohan, 31, was a staff nurse at the Sharourah General Hospital in Saudi Arabia. She is the wife of Avinash Mohandas, a native of Kudavechoor in Kottayam district.

After she got infected, Amritha was admitted to the King Khalid Hospital at Najran the other day. Amritha, who was seven-month pregnant with her first baby, died on Thursday morning.

Amritha had been working in Saudi for the past six years. She got married to Avinash four years ago. She had come home in February and returned on May 12.
