Wayanad: A tiger, that had triggered panic at Cheeyambam in Pulpally of Kerala's Wayanad district, has been captured.

The tiger was trapped in the cage set up by the forest department around 6am on Sunday. The tiger had killed several domestic animals in the area over the past two months. Three goats at a house were killed last week.

The female tiger is believed to be nine years old. The tiger was spotted in a camera installed by the forest department. As the tiger was spotted in several areas, people were wary of stepping out.

Locals had held several protests, urging the authorities to catch the tiger. After persistent demands, two cages were set up.
