‘Bombay Tailors’, one of Malayalam theatre’s most celerated plays, is all set to return to Kochi, nearly a decade after it made its premiere in 2016. Written and directed by renowned theatre-maker Vinod Kumar, ‘Bombay Tailors’ explores the evolution of Malayalam theatre, cinema, and costume culture from the 1960s to the present. The play is an adaptation of Mohammed Khadeer Babu’s well-known Telugu short story titled ‘New Bombay Tailors’ and has been widely regarded as a work that artfully blends historical detail with emotional depth.

The production is also enriched by the musical contributions of renowned singers Sithara Krishnakumar, Maqbool, and Sudarshan, who lend their voices to the performance. In addition, Surabhi Lakshmi has written the lyrics and composed the music, adding a deeply personal touch to the production.
