It was a moment of surprise for all mediapersons when renowned advocate BA Aloor and Salim India came to Thrissur press club to announce their movie titled Avaasthavam. While the movie will be directed by Salim India, the script and screenplay will be handled by Adv BA Aloor.

What shocked everyone in the hall was when they found the images of actors Mammootty and Dileep in the movie poster. When asked about the superstars, they said, “Yes, Mammootty will be seen in a cameo role in the role of a prosecutor. Dileep will be seen in the role of a cop. The initial talks are just going on. Earlier, Dileep had agreed to co-produce the movie but with the controversies surrounding him, he has refused to.”

Inspired by the actress attack case, the role of Dileep is inspired by DGP Loknath Behera and actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar will portray the role of ADGP Sandhya. Interestingly, Aloor himself will be seen as Pulsar Suni's advocate in the movie as well.

Aloor is known as the lawyer for the prime accused in the famous Soumya and Jisha murder cases. He was in media glare for appearing for Pulsar Suni, the prime accused in the actress abduction case.

While trying to contact Mammootty and Dileep to know more about the project, the sources close to them revealed they hadn't even heard about such a project!
