The 'Jimikki Kammal' song from Mohanlal-starrer 'Velipadinte Pusthakam', which had set trends inside and outside Kerala, is no longer available on YouTube, thanks to a copyright dispute.  

The favourite fast number of Keralites has been removed from the YouTube after a private television channel bought the digital rights of the movie which was directed by Lal Jose and released in August 2017. One of the biggest hits after the song 'Lajjavathiye' from the 2004 movie '4 the people,' 'Jimikki Kammal,' tuned by Shan Rahman, had set trends on campuses and workplaces inside and outside Kerala long before the movie was released.

The song was uploaded on YouTube by another private company long before the movie reached theaters. The private television channel has now claimed the rights of the song in a formally raised complaint, compelling the video-sharing website to remove it from the platform.

The song, which topped the charts for weeks, was sung by Vineeth Sreenivasan and Ranjith Unni.
