Five super star kids who thrive in Bollywood
Only a few talented children of yesteryear actors, force themselves through the undulating course of cinematic evolution, with their grit and immense passion, and eventually emerge successful.

Kids of stars following the footsteps of their parents and venturing into acting is common in the Indian film industry and Bollywood offers a myriad of examples. However, staying there and hogging the headlines for the right reasons have not been that easy for every star kid on the block. While some of them lose the race and retire soon, others chose to settle down after marriage. However, a few talented children of yesteryear actors, force themselves through the undulating course of cinematic evolution, with their grit and immense passion, and eventually emerge successful.

Here is a list of top five star kids who reign supreme in Bollywood now.

Sanjay Dutt

Sanjay Dutt, son of actor Sunil Dutt and Nargis, had made a brief appearance as a Qawwali singer along side his father in the 1971 film 'Reshma or Shera'. He made his Bollywood debut as a lead actor in the film 'Rocky' released in 1981. Perhaps he is one actor who has witnessed the most eventful career, with as many twists and turns as any dramatic potboiler would offer. In a career spanning well over three decades, he has acted in more than 184 films. 'Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster 3', 'Torbaaz', 'Kalank' and 'Panipat' are some of the mega projects in the offing from Sanjay Dutt.

Saif Ali Khan

Son of actress Sharmila Tagore and late cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, Saif Ali Khan made his debut in Bollywood through the Yash Chopra film 'Paramapara'. His outstanding performance in films like 'Parineeta' and 'Salam Namaste' established him as one of the leading names in Bollywood. His roles in 'Dil Chahta Hai', 'Kal Ho Naa Ho', English film 'Being Cyrus,' 'Omkara', 2009 thriller 'Kurbaan', period drama 'Rangoon' and the comdey drama 'Chef' have brought his versatility to the fore. The national award-winning actor, who is a master of emotional acting, has proved his mettle in a plethora of genres in Indian cinema.

Ranbir Kapoor

Born to Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh, both prominent actors in the seventies and eighties, Ranbir Kapoor had very early realised that filmdom would be his domain. He pursued film making and method acting at the School of Visual Arts and the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in the USA. His entry into film was in the role of an assistant to filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali for the film 'Black'. He made his acting debut in the film 'Saawariya' (2007), which also incidentally marked Sonam Kapoor's entry into acting career.

Kareena Kapoor

Daughter of actor-director-producer Randhir Kapoor and actress Babita, Kareena Kapoor has been a sensation for generations. She has been one of the most talked-about actresses on and off the realm of film. She had made her debut in the war film 'Refugee' released in 2000 and a year later appeared in the blockbuster film 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham'. The fashion icon has since then played a variety of characters in various genres ranging from romance to comedy to crime. After she gave birth to her son Taimur Ali Khan in 2016, Kareena took a two-year sabbatical but made a strong comeback playing a prominent role in the film 'Veere Di Wedding', directed by Shashanka Ghosh, released in June, 2018.

Tiger Shroff

One might wonder what makes Tiger Shroff tick as a stuntman with a spring feet. The reason is he has a bit of Mongolian blood running in his veins. His great great grandmother was an Uyghur, from Xinjiang, who shifted to Ladakh when there was an upsurge in the region. Son of actor Jackie Shroff and producer Ayesha Dutt, Jai Hemant Shroff, or better known by his screen name Tiger Shroff, is one actor whose martial art sequences matched those appreciated internationally. Tiger Shroff made his debut in action comedy 'Heropanti' released in 2014. That his action scenes are widely popular is proved by the fact that his movies 'Baaghi' and 'Baaghi 2' were two of the highest grossers released in recent years.
