She was first diagnosed with cancer in 2009 and she fought it happily for almost one-and-a-half years. Back to work, she then won the hearts of many for her gusto. And that is when it came again. She underwent a bone marrow transplant in 2013. But even then, she didn't lost her inner peace and happiness. And now, look at her. The actress is on a roll. Her 'Carbon' movie was released recently and she is now gearing up for her new movie 'Neeli'. Bravo girl and we are super proud of you!

Actress Gautami is 50 and is busy as a bee. She was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 35 and the first time she opened to media about it in an interview all she said was, “I realised I didn't want to live the life of stress and constant tension. I needed a quality life.” And that's her mantra of recovery. According to her, to be able to talk and exchange ideas is the first step to empowerment. Since her recovery, she has been in the forefront of fighting cancer through her ‘Life Again Foundation’ for many years now. She is also active in cinema now with 'E' the last outing in Malayalam. Iron lady indeed!

Give him any adjective and it won't be enough for Innocent Vareed Thekkethala. It was in 2012 that he was first diagnosed with throat cancer. With immediate treatment, he successfully won over his disease. Later he won the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from the Chalakudy constituency. The actor-comedian-politician-orator had tickled our funny bones for quite some time in Malayalam cinema. We can't love you less!

Actress Sharanya Sasi, who acted in the film 'Chotta Mumbai', was recently in the news for having to undergo an operation for tumour. After the successful operation, she thanked her friends and family. “The large tumour was removed with success.
