Filmmaker Aashiq Abu has taken a dig at actress Mamtha Mohandas for her controversial comments on attacks against women at workplace.

In a sarcastic tone, he posted on Facebook: “sympathising with Mamtha in all respects”.

In an interview, actress Mamtha had said the women who fell victim to sexual abuses were also responsible for their plight to some extent. There were factors which the women themselves entertained and which later led to sexual assaults.

Mamtha's comments drew widespread criticism. Reacting to the comments actress Rima Kallingal had stated that predators alone were responsible for the attacks, not the victims.

"You are not responsible when you get troubled, cat-called, assaulted, molested, abused, harassed, violated, attacked, kidnapped or raped," she posted on Facebook.

Rima had concluded the post saying,"please don't feel guilty for another person's act. Continue to speak out and stand up for each other. Let's break that wall of silence and ignorance."
