Movie offer for impromptu dancer at relief camp

Asiya Beevi, a Malayali homemaker who came to limelight amid the Kerala flood, is ample testimony to the fact that a disaster cannot rob her of positive spirit and smile. She has now been offered a chance to act in a movie as a video in which she is seen dancing merrily to the superhit song ‘Jimikki Kammal’ has been doing the rounds on the social media.

Asiya is currently staying at a relief camp functioning at the Vettickal Baselious Vidyaniketan School at Mulanthuruthy in Ernakulam district. The volunteers at the camp had arranged an entertainment session to cheer up the temporary residents who were badly hit by flood. Asiya, who didn’t shy away from these activities, forgot her woes and danced with all her heart.

Asiya has been offered a role in the movie directed by 'Kismath' fame Shanavas K Baavakutty. Award-winning actor Vinayakan reportedly essays the lead role in the movie. Shanavas has already spoken to Asiya over the phone about her role in his film.

Earlier, noted musician Shaan Rahman, who composed the song ‘Jimikki Kammal’ had appreciated Asiya through his Facebook page for the supreme confidence and optimism displayed by her amid a calamity. Social media users too had showered praises saying that others would gather the courage to face hard times in life after watching Asiya’s stellar impromptu dance performance.

Asiya 's family, which stays at a rented house, had sought refuge at the relief camp after floodwaters gushed in there. Social media users now hope that Asiya's entry into the silver screen would thrill the family.
