Post the floods in Kerala, several people and institutions are donating generously to spur the processes of relief, rehabilitation and rebuilding. Celebrities and even laymen made generous contributions to the state's flood relief fund. Latest to the chip in with help is popular actor Sunny Leone and her husband Daniel Webber.

With a heart-warming note, the celebrity couple posted on Instagram, their photograph with a pile of sacks full of rice and pulses they are sending to Kerala.

@dirrty99 (Daniel Webber) and I hopefully will able to feed a few of the many people in Kerala that need a warm meal with 1200 kg’s of rice and daal. I know it’s not a dent in what actually needs to be sent and I wish I could do more,” (sic.) Leone wrote in the photo-caption.

Earlier this week, a fake news saying that the Indo-American actress donated Rs 5 crore to chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan's flood relief fund had gone viral on Keralite social media platforms. Though the star did not come up with an official clarification to it, she had retweeted Vijayan's announcement of official flood-relief fund raising campaign.

Meanwhile, Leone's office confirmed the news that the star made generous financial contributions to help flood-affected Keralites though it refused to reveal the exact amount owing to privacy issues.
