Santosh Sivan ropes in Manju Warrier for his next

After the historic thriller 'Urumi' which released in 2011, ace cinematographer-turned-filmmaker Santosh Sivan is all set to entertain the Malayali audience again.

Manju Warrier, Kalidas Jayaram and Soubin Shahir will reportedly play the lead roles in the movie. Apart from directing, Sivan would be wielding the camera too for the film. Nedumudi Venu, Aju Varghese, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Soubin Shahir and Ramesh Pisharody would also essay pivotal roles in it.

The movie, yet to be named, would be bankrolled by the director himself in association with the Lensman Studios, which is based in Dubai. The film will reportedly go on the floors on October 20. Besides various locations across Kerala, the movie would be shot in London as well.

Audience has high expectation about the film as Manju would be collaborating with Sivan for the first time. The crew claims that the movie is a thriller which would capture the attention of the audience.

As per the reports, noted technicians from Bollywood and Hollywood would be working in this entertainer. The filmmaker hopes to wrap up the filming before beginning the much-anticipated mega-budget Mammootty-starrer 'Kunjali Marakkar', which also will be helmed by Sivan.

Kalidas, who is currently playing the lead role in Jeethu Joseph’s new project, is ecstatic that he has landed an amazing role in Sivan’s movie as well. Shahir will reportedly play a significant role alongside Manju and Kalidas.

Other than the lead cast, more details of the movie is awaited.

Meanwhile, movie buffs are looking forward for Tamil movie 'Chekka Chivantaha Vaanam' which will release on September 28. It is directed by Mani Ratnam and canned by Sivan.
