Veteran Suresh Poduval has made a mark as a scriptwriter in Malayalam with several noted films like 'Manthrikumaran', 'Nadan Pennum, Nattupramaniyum', 'Meghasandesham', 'Achaneyanenikkishtam' etc.

Now, the scenarist is all set to direct a film. Titled 'Ulta', the movie will feature Gokul Suresh, Prayaga Martin and Anusree in lead roles.

Ramesh Pisharody, Renji Panicker, Shanti Krishna, KPSC Lalitha are the other major cast.

Touted to be a comedy drama, the movie will also mark Poduval's eighth movie as writer.

While Prakash Velayudhan handles the cinematography, Gopi Sunder and Sudarshan will be in charge of music department. The film will be edited by Shameer Muhammed.

The movie will be produced by Dr. Subash Cipy under the banner of Cipy Creative Works.

The film is slated to go on floors by October first week in Kannur.
