Sultry Rashmika knows how to nail prying media

She is just two films old in Tollywood, but this sultry starlet has made it to the top league in a brief span.

Rashmika Mandanna's latest Telugu release, ‘Geetha Govindam’, starring young sensation Vijay Devarakonda, is one of the highest grossing films of the year.

Busy shooting for Dava Das with superstars Nagarjuna and Nani, Rashmika seems to know where to draw the lines.

Before making her Telugu debut with ‘Chalo’ early this year, Kodagu valley’s celebrity lass had announced her engagement with Rakshit Shetty.

The announcement grabbed headlines as the immensely talented Rashmika was also a popular actress in Kannada.

But she dared to call off the engagement all of a sudden, shocking fans and well wishers, though the glitterati media had a field day.

But when she came for a media briefing to promote her latest film ‘Deva Das’, reporters tried to pry into her personal life with a volley of queries on why she backtracked from her engagement with Rakshit Shetty.

The level-headed actress humbly but firmly said she had no intention to discuss her personal details with the media. She was on a film promotion, she asserted.

The Psychology graduate wondered why the media wanted her to talk about the breakup.

“If I have to tell something, I will tell it when the time comes. If I want to reveal some personal details to you, I will do it on social media,” she said.

‘Deva Das’ directed by Sriram Adiyta and produced by Aswhini Dutt, will hit the screens on September 27. Akanksha Singh is another heroine in the film.
