B-town attends Isha Ambani-Anand Piramal engagement | pics

Nita and Mukesh Ambani’s daughter Isha Ambani’s engagement party kicked off at the picturesque Lake Como in Northern Italy’s Lombardy region. With last night’s ring exchange ceremony, Isha got officially engaged to her long-time beau Anand Piramal, son of Ajay Piramal, the chairman of the Piramal group.

Many Bollywood A– isters have flown into the beautiful upscale resort town to celebrate the union of two of India’s biggest business families.

Actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Anil Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, Sonam Kapoor, Janvi and Khushi Kapoor and filmmaker Karan Johar are already at Lake Como for the engagement ceremony. Actor Priyanka Chopra is accompanied by her fiancé American singer Nick Jonas to the event.

The celebrations began with a grand lunch reception on Friday, after which the guests retired. They returned for the ring exchange ceremony at night followed by a sumptuous dinner. This dinner party was named ‘Love and Beautiful’.

Saturday night saw the celebrities wearing their dancing shoes for the dance party, themed ‘Beautiful Fair Italy’. The unique culture and colours of Italy was celebrated at the dance party. The guests also enjoyed some mouth- watering Italian delicacies.

The dress code was cocktail dresses and the celebrity guests graced the occasion in their fashionable best featuring some of the leading couturiers.

The three-day engagement party will end on Sunday with a closing lunch which will be hosted by Nita and Mukesh Ambani.

Anand proposed Isha in May this year at the Mahabaleshwar temple. Anand Piramal runs Piramal Swastya, a rural health care initiative.
