It is role reversal of sorts, it seems. For Telugu film-goers, names like Mammootty, Mohanlal, Kalabhavan Mani, Rahman and the like are their own stars as these Malayalam heroes acted in Tollywood films and carved a niche for themselves. Though Telugu hero Allu Arjun (nicknamed ‘Mallu Arjun’ in Tollywood) is an all-time favourite of Kerala audience through his dubbed films, not many Telugu superstars acted in Malayalam films.
But according to grapevine, angry young man of Telugu cinema ‘Victory Venkatesh’ has given green signal to act in a Malayalam movie, along with Dulquer Salmaan. He will be soon joining the league of Jagapathi Babu, who acted in many south Indian films and Nagarjuna, who is currently shooting for a Tamil film ‘Brahmastram’ being directed by Dhanush, according to sources.
Sources say that Venkatesh will be seen as an Army General in the untitled war drama and will share screen space with Dulquer in the film. Dulquer is already popular among Telugu audience as his movies ‘OK Bangaram’ and ‘Mahanati’ turned out to be huge hits.
According to sources, the film will be directed by a newcomer and efforts are on to the begin the shooting by January.

Venkatesh, who made his entry into Telugu cinema as a child artist in Prem Nagar way back in 1971, has so far acted over 70 films in Telugu and bagged several awards for his performances in varied roles.
