Tributes are pouring in following the death of young musician Blabhaskar who succumbed to his grave accident injuries in the wee hours of Tuesday.
"Never thought this would happen; till yesterday I was told that he was returning to life," singer and composer Ramesh Narayanan choked with emotion while remembering Balabhaskar.
"Balu was going to be a part of a new programme next month. He used to be with me all along. I can't imagine such a thing would happen to his family. He was a genuine musician. His death would be a great loss. He was so young," he added.
"In Kerala, there is no one who has used violin as a fusion instrument so beautifully. His presentation was so good that he could cater to all types of people," percussionist Mattannoor Sankarankutty said about Balabhaskar.
"When he is playing violin, I used to feel I was in heaven. You forget everything," recalled lyricist Rajeev Alunkal. Music was the spirit of his life, Rajeev told Onmanorama.
"The famous theme music of 'Soorya' was composed by Balabhaskar. He did it when he was quite young. We had a foreign trip immediately after their marriage. He has influenced a lot of people," said Soorya Krishnamoorthy, the founder of SOORYA Stage and Film Society.
