Kangana Ranaut grabs eyeballs as Manikarnika!

Within three days of its release, the trailer of ‘Manikarnika’, the most awaited Bollywood film of 2019, got more than 1.5 crore viewers on YouTube. And counting. Replete with visual effects and graphics, the period drama based on the life of the queen of Jhansi Rani Laxmi Bai is speculated to outsmart Baahubali and Thugs of Hindoostan in technical pre-eminence and visual marvel.

As the movie is being directed by Krish, a popular Telugu filmmaker, the Tollywood audience are sitting with fingers crossed and eagerly waiting for its release. The popularity of the yet-to-be released film is growing by the day as Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is playing the role of Jhansi Rani and the story is written by none other than Vijayendra Prasad, who scripted films like Baahubali and Bhaag, Milka Bhaag. And for those who are not in the know, Vijayendra Prasad is the father of one of the most successful directors of our times, SS Rajamouli.

The trailer, which shows Jhansi Rani, the warrior queen of yore, in a fierce fight in a battleground, comes with the imposing commentary of Amitabh Bachchan and getting hundreds of views in seconds.

Since the film revolves around the struggle for independence, film buffs and history enthusiasts across the country are expected to take the flick to their hearts. However, the film which got on to the floor in 2017, had its own share of good-bad moments. It is rumoured that there were differences between Kangana and Krish many occasions and Kangana had a say in the flow of the film.

One has to wait and watch if the much-touted flick will live up to the expectations, but the trailer is sure becoming a trailblazer of sorts!
