Srinish Aravind, who grew up in Chennai, is now a mini-screen heart throb of Keralites. Since childhood, Srinish dreamt of becoming an actor. His initial days were quite struggling. It was a Tamil short film Uyir Ezhuthu, that gave him a break. From then, there has been no looking back for him and he started playing lead roles in TV serials.
His father, Aravind Nair, worked as production controller in Chennai and mother Lakshmi Kumari is a home-maker.
Chennai Pattanom
The actor who grew up as a typical Chennai boy says that his favorite place is his room in their 3-BHK flat at Valsaravakkam. It was his father who did the interiors to suit the taste of his family.
Talking about the Chennai days, he said, “My mother is an incredible cook. In fact my fondest memories of my childhood revolves around the kitchen. Though there was a dining hall, we liked to eat in the kitchen itself. Mother would serve us hot and delicious food, and we would eat sitting on the counter top. My sisters and I often had eating competitions where we kept devouring what mother cooked. However, those fun times ended when they were married and shifted."
Travelling, favourite hobby
He says, “I loved to travel with my friends, and the impeccably beautiful temples at Maahbalipuram had attracted me greatly. I got interested in movies during childhood. After college I decided to pursue my dreams and went to study cinema. It was through modeling that I entered the mini-screen.”
Srinish is truly overwhelmed by the architectural legacy of Chennai. He cites the Chennai Central railway station, Madras High Court building and Victoria Hall as some of the greatest architectural marvels of the vibrant city.
Homesick boy
He admits that he is homesick as he grew up as the youngest child in the family. He, however, says that he has changed a lot since he began travelling more owing to his career in the entertainment industry.
“I come to Kerala mostly for shoots. I have acted in the serial ‘Ammuvinte Amma’ aired on Mazhavil Manorama. I wish to buy a house in Kerala and settle here if I get more offers,” he said.
Srinish has fond memories of his parents’ ancestral homes in Palakkad. Young Srinish and his two elder sisters enjoyed the holidays when they spent at their ancestral home in Palakkad. “It was an old house with paved mud tile roofing. There were lots of trees on the back courtyard where we used to run around. Later, that house was renovated as there wasn’t enough space inside it to accommodate everyone. We still visit Palakkad whenever I have time.” said Srinish.
Further he added, “Since I have amazing memories about our ancestral home in Palakkad, I would love to buy a beautiful house like that.”
The 33-year-old hogged the limelight for flaunting his love for Malayalam host and actor Pearle Maaney. Both were recently seen in the reality show Bigg Boss Malayalam.
In a post on Facebook, Srinish shared a photo saying that he is missing Pearle after the show.
"Miss u Pearle Maaney... Day 1 without u #pearlish #missing
#biggbossmalayalam," read his post.
To this, fans have commented that they are eagerly waiting for their wedding.
