The NTR biopic is one of the most talked about projects in the Telugu film industry of late.
Joining the big names in the cast, model and actress Rakul Preet Singh has announced that she will be seen in an important role in the mega-budget project. Interestingly, she will be playing the role of late actress Sridevi.
She herself confirmed the news to a daily and claimed that she is a big fan of Sridevi. “Unfortunately, I never met Srideviji, but I am going to be watching a few of her films as suggested by the makers, to get the body language right. I will be working on my role and there will be a series of look tests to get the part right,” Rakul was quoted as saying.
On a related note, the 27-year old also has plans to meet a few people who were associated with the late actress. “I am going to do extensive homework before I start shooting for the film,” she said.
Sridevi had worked in 14 movies with NTR, as TDP founder and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister NT Rama Rao was popularly known. Sridevi and NTR's popular movies include 'Rowdi Ramudu Konte Krishnudu' (1980) and 'Vayyari Bhamalu Vagalamaari Bharthalu' (1982).
The movie titled 'NTR: Kathanayakudu' has Vidya Balan playing NTR’s first wife Basavatarakam and Aamani as his second wife named Lakshmi Parvathi. Nithya Menen, Prakash Raj, Manjima Mohan and a host of big names will be in the flick, which will be directed by Krish.
