Dancing diva Shamna Kasim opens up about wedding plans

Actress Shamna Kasim has danced her way into the hearts of the Malayali audience. The diva, who rules the stage shows with her incredible dance moves, has also already made her mark in all the South Indian movie industries. Her countless fans, however, have always been curious about her wedding.

On the show 'Onnum Onnum Moonnu' aired on Mazhavil Manorama, Shamna opened up about her marriage plans. The actress had participated in the fun show along with singer Vaikom Vijayaakshmi. The show’s anchor Rimi Tomy asked Shamna about her wedding plans, after Vijayaklashmi had shared the details about her own upcoming wedding.

Rimi said she couldn’t help but ask about Shamna's wedding. Meanwhile the actress playfully said that she has been trying to dodge the question at home and now she wasn’t spared on the sets as well. “My mother keeps talking about my wedding all throughout the day. If the Lord wills, then it will surely happen. My caste is an issue for those who approach me with marriage proposals. Besides, they also demand that I should give up my career in acting and dance. Even if we like someone, they would have demands like these. A wedding shouldn't take place by fulfilling the demands of only the groom alone,” Shamna made her stand clear.

When Rimi asked whether she would be okay if someone from a different community who loved Shanma proposed marriage, the actress said that she would definitely say 'yes' to it. Shamna, however, said that she was not ready to upset her mother. She added that her mother’s happiness was everything for her.

Shamna concluded by saying that she has now left the matter of her wedding to her family members who are eager to see her married and settled.
