Veteran Malayalam actress Shobana has been one of the most sought-after actresses of south Indian cinema industry. Having proved her mettle as an actress, she is also famous as a dancer. Although a couple of rumours had made their way, Shobana's private life was always a mystery for the public and media. There were speculations about the true reason behind her single status; but the actress has never made any comments over the rumours.

On Monday morning, the actress wrote on her official Facebook page, “#MeToo”, but not revealing or detailing anything further.

Shobana who usually posts only updates on her dance performances surprised her followers by writing so. While many were curious to know who was responsible, a few also commented asking her about her experience.

Unmarried Shobana had adopted a baby girl named Anantha Narayani in 2010. The artiste is the niece of popular yesteryear actresses Lalitha, Padmini and Ragini. She is a close relative of veteran actress Sukumari and second cousin of actor-dancer Vineeth and actor Krishna.

The #MeToo online movement started more than a decade ago with US activist Tarane Burke.
