The film’s trailer which was released recently was a huge hit with it getting over 40 lakh views.

However, anguished over the piracy of his film, Vijay tweeted that whenever he was low, it was his fans who lifted up his spirits.

And his tweet got a solacing reply from a most unlikely fan - none other than titan of tinsel town Suriya. Vijay tweeted: “When I feel low, you know who picks up my spirits? You…  Through all the noise, your love comes through to me the loudest.”

Pat came the comment from Suriya: “You have all our love! This too shall pass…! But you are here to stay.!! #Taxiwaala looking forward ....!!

For this Vijay responded: “Suriya sirrr! I love you”.

The film will finally hit the screens after a long wait on Saturday. Starring Priyanka Jawalkar and Malavika Nair and directed by Rahul Sankrityayan, Taxiwalaa revolves around a ghost that happens to be a co-passenger of Vijay.
