The name Gokulam Gopalan is familiar to movie buffs as a producer of many renowned films. Now, Gopalan is stepping into the shoes of an actor. He will be seen playing the lead in the upcoming movie 'Netaji' which is on the Indian freedom fighter Subhash Chandra Bose.

'Netaji' will go on floors soon and top technicians from South India will be part of the project, according to sources.

Gopalan will be playing the titular role of Netaji in the movie written and directed by Vijeesh Mani. Mani, best known as the director of 'Vishwaguru', (2017) had set a Guinness World Record for making and releasing the film in 51 hours and 2 minutes.

The recently released movie 'Kayamkulam Kochunni' was produced by Gopalan's company Sree Gokulam Films.
