Mohanlal and Manju Warrier have been considered as one of the best onscreen pairs of Malayalam cinema. The combo of Mohanlal-Manju Warrier has never disappointed us and have been among top grossers. Today, on this note, Onmanorama takes a look at the movies which saw Mohanlal and Manju Warrier act together:

Aaraam Thampuran (1997)

Though 'Aaraam Thampuran' was the absorbing tale of revenge carried out by Jagan Nathan, Manju as Unni Maya had a pivotal role. The intro scene where Jagan meets Unni Maya for the first time is one of most applauded and cherished scene in the movie. With perfect setting and background score, the scene was a hit for its epic dialogue between the duo. Take a look at the scene:

Kanmadam (1998)

The A. K. Lohithadas movie is one of the best of the Mohanlal-Manju pair. How a man with a scar eventually falls in love with a bold and short-tempered woman named Bhanu is the best part of the movie. The varying emotions of the two characters were very well justified by Manju as well as Mohanlal.

Summer in Bethlehem (1998)

The multi-starrer movie by Sibi Malayil had Manju Warrier, Jayaram and Suresh Gopi in the lead roles and Mohanlal in a cameo appearance. Though he comes onscreen for not more than 10 minutes, the scenes between Mohanlal and Manju Warrier as Niranjan and Abhirami form the crux of the movie.

Ennum Eppozhum (2015)

It was after a hiatus that we got to see Mohanlal and Manju Warrier, back together on screen, with this film, directed by Sathyan Anthikkad. In fact, the combo of Mohanlal and Manju Warrier was the only positive aspect of the movie. The film, which did well among the family audiences showed familial bonds and relationships.

Villain (2017)

The 'Kandittum Kandittum' song from the B Unnikrishnan movie received much appreciation for portraying the bond between a husband and wife played by Mohanlal and Manju Warrier. The movie, thus marked Manju Warrier's fifth onscreen collaboration with the complete actor. Although the actress had less screen space with Mohanlal, her role was a very strong and performance-oriented one.

C/O Saira Banu (2017)

Mohanlal made a very special cameo appearance in the Manju Warrier starrer 'C/O Saira Banu'. Mohanlal played the role of Peter John, the husband of Manju Warrier's character Saira Banu in the movie. But, it was only his photo and voice that appeared in the movie. Small yet satisfying, that's how we felt about the duo.

All done, tell us which among the above is your favourite?

Meanwhile, after 'Odiyan', Manju and Mohanlal will be seen in Prithviraj's directorial debut 'Lucifer'. Also, a year ago when Mohanlal announced the dream project based on 'Mahabharata', Manju Warrier too was among the cast.
