Vikram Vedha (2017)
The 2017 neo-noir action thriller was written and directed by husband-wife duo Pushkar–Gayathri. The film featured R Madhavan, Vijay Sethupathi, Shraddha Srinath, Kathir and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in the lead roles.
The movie was largely inspired by the Indian folktale Baital Pachisi. The film tells the story of Vikram, a police inspector who sets out to track down and kill Vedha, a gangster. After Vedha voluntarily surrenders himself, he narrates Vikram three stories which change his notions of good and evil.
In January 2015, Sashikanth revealed that he would be producing another film directed by Pushkar and Gayathri. After developing the script throughout 2015, Madhavan and Sethupathi were selected to play the lead roles in February 2016. Principal photography started in November that year and the project was over by New Year. North Chennai is its backdrop.
A commercial success, with critics praising each aspects of production, Vikram Vedha won four awards each a the Filmfare, Vijay and Norway Tamil Film Festival events. Additionally, it received three Ananda Vikatan Cinema Awards, two Techofes Awards and an Edison Award.
Naanum Rowdy Thaan (2015)
'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan', meaning 'I too am a rowdy', is a 2015 comedy film written and directed by Vignesh Shivan. Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara are in the lead roles.
It was produced by actor Dhanush under his banner Wunderbar Films. Vijay essayed the role of Pandiyan aka "Pondy Pandi", the son of a Puducherry-based police inspector P Meenakumar played by Radhika.
Pizza ( 2012)
