Abarnathi won't mind attending Arya-Sayyesha wedding

All eyes are on actress Abarnathi after actor Arya released an official statement confirming his marriage to c -star Sayyesha in March. Abarnathi was a popular contestant in the reality show 'Enga Veetu Mappilai' which was conducted to find a suitable bride for actor Arya.

Reacting to the news, Abarnathi stated that she wouldn’t act along with Arya in the future. "I had believed that the news about Arya’s wedding was just a rumor. It wasn't for the first time that he has been a target of gossips. Now, he has confirmed it himself. However, I am waiting for that day," said the actress.

Abarnathi opened up that it isn’t easy to understand Arya as the actor behaves amazingly with everyone. "Arya has seen many people like us. So it is difficult to understand his ways. Arya doesn’t talk to one girl with love and to another with scorn. In the reality show, he treated everyone equally. So, even the contestants had no idea whom he liked among us. A few actors, who are Arya's friends, had told me the name of a woman who he was dating. However, that relationship too didn't last long", says Abarnathi.

The young actress observed that it is possible to understand Arya in a better way if one spends time with him for at least a year or two. She revealed that she didn't get much opportunity to form a close bond with the actor as the circumstances in the reality show were different. "We had mostly talked about the competition while we were together. How could we understand each other then? It wasn’t possible to find out whether he was in love or not. But Arya knows how to speak impressively to everyone. He makes everyone happy," Abarnathi said.

"I will definitely go for Arya’s wedding if I am invited. I believe that one should go if someone invites us for the wedding, even if we like it or not. Many think that I and Arya are good friends. People ask me about him whenever I go out. I usually try to make them happy by saying that I would convey their regards to Arya. I never speak badly about him," revealed the actress.

Abarnathi admitted that she was greatly troubled by the questions about Arya and Sayyesha’s wedding. She said that people are treating her like Arya’s first wife who is nursing a broken heart after getting divorced from him. "I am not interested to be friendly with him anymore. Neither will I do a movie with him. I would have worked with him before all these had happened. Now it would be painful for me because I was not like the other contestants in the show. People shouldn't associate my name with Arya’s anymore. I wish Arya and Sayyesha all the very best," she said.

Though she was a favorite to win the show and be Arya’s bride, Abarnathi had a shock exit in the semi finals. Even after being eliminated from the show, she had vowed that she would only marry Arya. Abarnathi, who was the most popular contestant in the show, had even made her silver screen debut.

It was announced that Arya would marry one among the 16 contestants in the reality show. However, in a dramatic twist in the finale, the actor refused to select a bride saying that he did not want to hurt the other contestants by choosing one.

Among the 16 contestants, seven of them were Keralites. Actress Sangeetha was the anchor of the show which garnered instant popularity. Arya was widely criticized by many women’s rights groups when he declined to marry the winner of the show. It is reported that the actor had kept the news of the wedding a secret fearing controversy.
