Ernakulam: A movie audition was conducted for transgenders for Noushad Alathur's upcoming flick 'Viral 2019' at IMA Hall, Kaloor here on Sunday for a first time in the history of Malayalam cinema.

Interestingly, the auditions witnessed the participation of about 100 transgenders and was judged by Kerala's first transgender fashion designer and dancer Riya Isha.

'Viral 2019' has already received positive responses from social media owing to its special making style and unique casting calls.

This is the third audition for the movie. Earlier, two sets of audition for the movie was held in Angamaly and Bangalore which saw the participation of women and children. The selection of director and script writer were too done through an audience vote. The makers of the movie has announced that the entire cast of the movie will too be found out in a similar manner based on audience poll.

The producer of 'Viral 2019' Noushad Alathur and Haseeb Haneef have worked together and gifted Mollywood movies like 'Aadupuliyattam', 'Thoppil Joppan' and 'Kuttanadan Marpappa' and so is expectations sky high for this upcoming movie as well.
