The trailer of the upcoming Tamil flick 'Super Deluxe' has been released, and it is garnering amazing response from the audience for its unique way of narration.
In the movie by national award-winning director Tyagarajan Kumararaja, Vijay Sethupathi plays the role of a transgender named Shilpa.
The trailer opens with Shilpa's voice-over and a story is narrated in loop.
In the story, a man is shown chased by a tiger on a rough mountain road. In his effort to escape the tiger, he flings himself over a cliff and hangs on to a vine. Later he realises it is not a vine but a snake.
Each time Shilpa narrates, the man in the tale is seen coming face-to-face with more danger. With each new danger, Shilpa starts the story from the beginning and then takes the story forward with an increasing pace.
Alongside the narration, other characters of the film are shown, with one common trait, all in danger!
Apart from Sethupathi, Samantha, Fahad Faasil, Ramya Krishnan, Gayathrie and Mysskin are also in the cast. This is Fahadh Faasil's second Tamil movie after 2017 flick 'Velaikkaran'.
This is the second film of Kumararaja after his award-winning 2011 movie 'Aaranya Kaandam'. Initially 'Super Deluxe ' was named as 'Aneethi Kathaikal', however the director himself later changed it.
The film’s screenplay is by Thiagarajan himself with additional inputs from Mysskin, Nalan Kumarasamy and Neelan K Sekar.
The film is produced by the director under his own banner, TDKF. Yuvan Shankar Raja will be composing the music, while PS Vinod and Nirav Shah handle the camera . Sathyaraj Natarajan will be the editor.
'Super Deluxe' will hit the floors on March 29.
Earlier, Vijay Sethupathi's latest photoshoot for Manorama Calendar app 2019 had become popular.
