The much-awaited Kerala state film awards will be declared in a few days and all eyes are on who will be the winners.
This year, the award declaration is going to be all the more special and exciting for the Fazil family. Sources close to the jury have revealed that during the final round of selection, actor Fahadh Faasil made it to the finalists in the best actor category and his wife and actress Nazriya Nazim made into the finalists in the best actress section.
Reports suggests that if the duo manages to win an award, it will be for the first time in the history of state film awards that a husband and wife will be awarded the state laurels.
Apparently, Fahadh is having a tough race with Mohanlal, Joju George and Jayasurya. And on the other hand, Nazriya facing a stiff comeptition against Manju Warrier, Urvashi, Aishwarya Lekshmi.
The awards are slated to be announced by the Minister of Cultural Affairs on Thursday or Friday.
About 104 movies are competing with each other under various award categories.
Fahadh is the son of veteran filmmaker Fazil.
