The recent moustache trend was set by not any actor or model but by Indian Air Force (IAF) pilot Abhinandan Varthaman who became the talk of the town for his stylised looks. His gunslinger moustache was even compared to the likes of the ones worn by Tamil film stars Rajinikanth in 'Petta' and Suriya in 'Singam'.
While Twitterati are still mulling over Abhinandan's stunning moustache, let's take a look at a few Malayalam movie stars who after all are always noted for their tashes. From senior stars to the new-gen heart-throb, all Mollywood actors wear moustaches. And going by the amazing new looks of M-town stars, we can't help but admit that moustache will endure here unlike among Bollywood actors even though up north too it has become trendy of late.
Mammootty in 'Madhura Raja'
The movie 'Pokkiri Raja' is in fact identified with the lead actor Mammootty's horseshoe moustache. It looks like the hybrid version of the moustaches sported by the lead actors in 'Petta' and 'Singam'.
