Actor – politician Suresh Gopi was absent from the silver screen for quite some time. As per the latest reports, the veteran actor is making a comeback and his fans are already thrilled about it. However, the fans are not the only ones who are elated about this news.

Suresh Gopi's son actor Gokul Suresh is happy that his father is back in front of the camera. He even expressed his excitement on this to his father. Recently Suresh Gopi's son Gokul and youngest daughter Bhavna had visited the sets of his latest movie to share their happiness with him. The senior actor was particularly touched by the honest words of his son. It was Suresh Gopi himself who revealed about it to his fans and audience.

"Gokul, who reached the sets, was standing a few steps away and watching me with his arms folded. Suddenly he called 'acha' (father) and said, 'I am extremely happy that you are facing the lights, camera and all these technicians again. I feel so happy and I wish to see you like this always.' I was greatly touched by his words. However, I am aware about my responsibilities as a social worker. I am ready to do anything to fulfill those responsibilities for my nation," noted Suresh Gopi.

The actor is all set to make a comeback to the movies, after a hiatus of four years, through the Tamil film 'Tamizharasan'.

Suresh Gopi has done a handful of powerful characters in Malayalam cinema which earned him the title of super star. However, he decided to stay away from the movies after taking the political plunge. Meanwhile there were many reports that the veteran actor would soon be making a return to the silver screen. But none of those reports were confirmed by Suresh Gopi.

Suresh Gopi hasn’t appeared in any movie for the last four years. His last Malayalam release was the 2015 Malayalam flick 'My God' . The Tamil movie ‘I’ in which he played the role of the villain, Dr Vasudevan, too was released in the same year. Though his character and his punch line in the movie got noticed, Suresh Gopi didn't do any Tamil film after that.

Vijay Antony plays the lead role in the movie 'Thamizharasan'. Suresh Gopi had shared a few pictures from the location on his Facebook page as well. The actor, reportedly, essays the role of a doctor in this movie. 'Tamizharasan', directed by Babu Yogeshwaran who helmed the hit movie 'Das', is an action entertainer. Ramya Nambeesan plays the female lead. The camera is wielded by RD Rajasekharan. The editing is by Bhuvan Sreenivasan. The movie is bankrolled by SNS Movies.

Meanwhile, there were reports that the actor would be starring in Lelam 2, a sequel of the super hit movie Lelam, and also in another action thriller directed by a debutant. Lalam2 would reportedly be Nithin Renji Panicker’s next directorial venture after 'Kasaba'. If the rumors are to be believed Gokul Suresh would be essaying the role of Kochu Chackochi, the son of Aanakattil Chackochi, played by his father in 'Lelam'.

Besides some of the original cast, Lelam 2 would also star Maqbool Salman, Aju Varghese, Raai lakshmi, Archana Kavi, Niranjana Anoop and Poonam Bajwa. The movie will be produced jointly by Renji Panicker Productions and Adam's World owned by actor Asif Ali.
