Why Modi biopic makers even mulled dropping the project

The makers of much-awaited 'PM Narendra Modi' biopic on Friday released a behind-the-scene video showing actor Vivek Oberoi's makeover.

In the over-three-minute video, it was revealed that pulling off the look of Prime Minister Narendra Modi wasn't an easy job for the Bollywood actor.

In the video, Vivek said that prosthetics required almost five-six hours for applying and sadly it could be used for the same duration only.

Director Omung Kumar revealed that the look test turned out to be a disaster and that Vivek barely resembled PM Modi. On the other hand, producer Sandip Ssingh said that after many failed attempts to get the right look, they had decided to drop the idea of making the film.

Only later, renowned makeup and prosthetics artist Preetisheel Singh tried a new technique and the look worked in favour of the team. That's how the project began.
