The trailer of Ajay Devgan's latest film 'De De Pyaar De' was released at a grand event in Mumbai and the launch coincided with the actor's 50th birthday on Monday. The film revolves around the love story between a 50-year old divorced man and a 26-year old woman.

The film has Tabu, Rakul Preet as female leads and also has actor Alok Nath playing Ajay's father in the movie.

During the launch event, one reporter asked as to why Alok, who is accused of sexual misconduct, has been roped in for the movie.

Ajay dodged the question and replied, “This is not the right place to talk about it" and further added, "..jinki aap baat kar rahe hai woh film uske pehle complete hui. (The film was completed before the allegations surfaced against the concerned person)."

Well, even Twitter doesn't seem to be happy with Alok's casting.

“Bollywood continues its double standard. Then why not bring back Sajid Khan and Nana Patekar and many others. What a shame that we have to see this rapist Alok Nath," comments like these were filled on social media.

For the uninitiated, Nana Patekar and Sajid Khan were accused of sexual harassment in the wake of #MeToo movement last year.

Directed by debutant Akiv Ali and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg, the movie is slated to hit screens by May 17.
