Trailer of Parvathy-Asif starrer 'Uyare' out

The trailer of debutant director Manu Ashokan's 'Uyare' starring Parvathy Thiruvoth and Asif Ali is finally out. Scripted by acclaimed sibling duo Bobby-Sanjay, 'Uyare' is touted to be a powerful flick revolving around women's empowerment.

It is the story of an acid -attack survivor.

Director Manu Ashokan was a close associate of Late Director Rajesh Pillai. Manu has assisted Rajesh in 'Traffic' and 'Vetta'.

In the movie, Parvathy essays the role of Pallavi Ravindran, an aviator who also becomes an acid attack survivor. Pallavi, who is also Asif Ali's lover, takes up an aviator job with Cloud Nine airlines.

Later, Asif's character later becomes wary of her aspirations and thus the relationship gets into trouble.

Even though the trailer does not show the face after the acid attack, it gives a peek into a shot where she is seen covering her face with a 'duppatta.'

Tovino Thomas plays the executive vice-president of Cloud Nine.

Prathap Pothen plays and important role in the movie. Veteran actor Siddique is Parvathy's father in the movie.

Anarkali Marikar and Samyuktha Menon will also be seen in the flick.

The movie is produced by Shenuga Jaythilak, Shegna Vijil and Sherga Sandeep – daughters of P.V.Gangadharan - under the banner of S Cube Films.

The movie marks the association of Bobby-Sanjay and Parvathy after 2006 flick 'Notebook'. The 2006 Rosshan Andrrew's flick marked Parvathy's debut in Mollywood.

Parvathy was last seen in Anjali Menon's 'Koode', released in 2018.

Uyare will hit the screens on April 26.
