'Virus' goes viral: Is Revathy a surprise factor?

The trailer of 'Virus' is out and it seems the movie is dark, intense and gripping. The Aashiq Abu directorial has an array of actors, but actress Revathy grabs all eyeballs.

A movie based on true events, Virus traces the outbreak of Nipah in Kerala and Revathy's role has a clear cut resemblance to Health, KK Shailaja.

The 3-minute trailer opens with the voice over of actor Kunchacko Boban – a briefing about the 'virus' and the bigger challenge of facing mass hysteria during outbreaks of epidemics.

The trailer promises 'A unique story of fear, fight and survival'.

The cast includes Tovino Thomas, Rahman, Parvathy, Indrajith Sukumaran, Asif Ali, Poornima Indrajith, Dileesh Pothan, Sreenath Bhasi, Rima Kallingal, Remya Nambeesan, Joju George, Indrans, Madonna Sebastian and Soubin Shahir.

Written by Muhsin Parari, Sharafu and Suhas, Virus is produced by Aashiq Abu and Rima Kallingal.

Virus will hit screens on June 7.
