Actor Soubin Shahir and wife blessed with a baby boy

Actor Soubin Shahir and wife Jamia Zaheer became parents on Friday.

Though the actor is yet to announce the good news, Soubin's photo holding a balloon is doing rounds on social media. The photo has him holding a blue balloon with the writing 'it's a baby boy'. Fans and well wishers have been posting congratulating messages for the new father in M-town.

Soubin got married to Jamia in December 16, 2016. This is their first child. Reportedly, the mother and baby are keeping fine.

Soubin Shahir stepped into Mollywood with the film 'Kaiyethum Doorathu', directed by Fazil and featuring Fahadh Faasil in the lead role. He worked as an assistant director in the film. After working in the directorial department for more than a decade, he stepped into shoes of an actor. On the other hand, Jamia is a marketing professional, who is based in Kochi.

Soubin won the best actor for the 49th Kerala State Film Awards and shared it with actor Jayasurya.

He made his debut as a film-maker with Dulquer Salmaan-starrer 'Parava'. Soubin recently announced that he is preparing his second directorial, which will have Kunchacko Boban in the main role. Interestingly, Kunchacko Boban too was blessed with a baby boy last month.

Earlier, Soubin had shared a photo of him with his pregnant wife as they were stepping into their new house! The actor took to his social media handle and shared the photograph with a caption, "To all the new beginnings we have had together, this one’s been the most special one. New home .”

The actor was last seen in 'Kumbalangi Nights' and received wide applauds for his character Saji.
