The trailer of Shahid Kappor starrer Kabir Singh is out. The film is a Hindi remake of Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy, which starred Vijay Deverakonda in the lead role. Going by the trailer, it's evident that the remake is an exact replica of the original – right from where Kabir Singh falls in love to his self-destructive stage.
But yes, inspite of the same sequences, Shahid Kapoor promises a powe-packed performance with his stubborn and extreme anger conditions even as he delivers the punch dialogue that he is certainly not a rebel without a cause.
Well, Sandeep Vanga, who directed Arjun Reddy, is also helming Kabir Singh.
While the Telugu flick had Shalini Pandey as the female lead, Kabir Singh will see Kiara Advani playing Shahid’s love interest.
At the trailer launch event, talking about taking up the remake project, Shahid said, “I loved Vijay's work. When I met Sandeep, we both wanted to search Kabir Singh's soul and offer his personality to the audience. If you connect with the love story between Preethi and Kabir or if you have had a broken heart, you will understand the intensity of the film."
This is Shahid’s first film of 2019 and is slated to hit screens by June 21.
