Debutant director Ashraf Hamza has heightened the expectations of movie buffs with the teaser of Vinay Forrt-starrer Thamaasha.
The teaser was released on YouTube on Friday.
Produced by Sameer Thahir, who is also wielding the camera, Shyju Khalid, Lijo Jose Pellissery and Chemban Vinod Jose, Thamaasha surfaced on the radar of movie buffs first with the album Paadi Njan, written by Muhsin Parari and sung by Shahabaz Aman.
The song, unveiled Vinay Forrt's character as a single-and-ready-to-mingle teacher, made viewers believe that it was a routine love story between two teachers (Vinay and Divya Prabha).
But the plot just got thicker with the release of the teaser, in which Vinay's character is seen exchanging voice messages with another woman, Grace Antony from Kumbalangi Nights.
Vinay's character, who seems to be a simple straightforward guy in search of a life partner, is later seen with Divya and also pillion riding with another woman.
The teaser, like the song, offers a peek into some brilliant performances. Vinay's performance is unbelievably natural and 'Sudani from Nigeria'-fame Navas Vallikkunnu can be seen giving him tough competition in the winding up scene of the teaser.
