Actress Jaya Bachchan received flak when photos of her smiling while protesting for Unnao rape survivor’s justice in Delhi surfaced online.

The Unnao rape case grabbed headlines after the survivor and her family members recently met with a Road accident. While the survivor’s condition is critical, her lawyer and a relative lost their life in the accident.

Jaya Bachchan was seen at the protest rally seeking justice for the Unnao rape victim. However, in the pictures, Jaya Bachchan was seen joining a group of politicians and sharing a laugh during the protest rally in Delhi.

Netizens questioned about her seriousness on the issue and asked her if she was on a picnic with friends.

Adding fuel to the fire, politician Amar Singh took to Twitter to lambast the Bachchan family. He pointed to bring her changes at her home first and then talk about society. He also mentioned Amitabh Bachchan's 'jumma-chumma' song, Abhishek's 'Dhoom' and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's 'Ae Dil He Mushkil'.

Sharing the video and tagging Amitabh and Abhishek, he wrote, “Stop hypocrisy Jaya Bachchan ji.”
