Tovino at a relief camp

The people of Kerala got to see the more humane side of youth icon Tovino Thomas during last year’s flood when the actor was seen volunteering at many relief camps.

This year too, Tovino has been actively participating in many relief activities.

Tovino visited the collection center opened at the Taluk office in the Irinjalakkuda civil station premises. He spoke to RDO C Lathika, tahasildar IJ Madhusudhanan, deputy tahasildar Simish Sabu and tahsildar AJ Mary, to know more about the relief activities conducted in the district.

Tovino also enquired about the relief camps opened in the area. Later, the actor visited a few relief camps including the one functioning at the Edathirinji HDP.

Earlier, Tovino had won hearts on the social media, inviting temporarily displaced people to his house. Through a message posted on his Instagram handle, Tovino had appealed people to seek shelter at any safe house during these devastating times, even without an invite.

In one of the videos that is doing rounds on social media, Tovino is seen going away from the camera eyes saying such photographs had brought lot of negativity for him though his only intention was to help.

Last year, Tovino was seen as a volunteer in many relief camps, helping and consoling the people who had lost everything. Keralites had showered praises on the young actor who kept aside his stardom to be one among the common people and help them.
