Nazriya-Fahadh celebrate 5 years of togetherness

Fahadh Faasil and Nazriya Nazim are undoubtedly the cutest star couple of Mollywood.

The duo are celebrating their fifth wedding anniversary on Wednesday and Nazriya took to Facebook to share a lovely note along with a photo. “Happy anniversary baby! 5 years n forever to go (I can’t believe it) #lifesbestgift” (sic.), she wrote and fans have been pouring wishes.

The film that blossomed love

Fahadh and Nazriya first met on the sets of Anjali Menon's Bangalore Days, in which they play a couple who leads a troubled married life. Though director Anjali Menon made sure to keep the apart for the characters, Nazriya and Fahadh grew close without anybody knowing about it. Actress Nithya Menen, in one of her recent interview, jokingly remarked that she was the reason behind the two actors falling in love. Turns out that Nithya Menen was first offered the lead role of the film, but she had to say 'no' due to many other prior commitments. The role eventually went to Nazriya, who then got into a relationship with Fahadh. However, Nithya Menen still played a small role in the film as the director Anjali Menon wanted the actress to be part of her film.

Interestingly, Fahadh and Nazriya got engaged even before the release of the movie.

The love-turned-arranged marriage

During one of their interviews together, Nazriya revealed that it was she who proposed Fahadh. “During the shooting of Bangalore days, we were sitting in a room. Only two of us were there. So I asked him ‘Will you marry me?. I promised him that I will take care of him,” asked Nazriya to which Fahadh said, “I never faced such an honest question from any girl.”

After their families agreed to their relationship, the couple entered into wedlock on August 21, 2014. It was one of the most celebrated wedding in the history of Malayalam movie industry. After a grand wedding, Fahadh and Nazriya also hosted a big, fat reception for the movie fraternity, at Fahadh's hometown Alappuzha.

Back to work

Post wedding, Nazriya chose to stay out of the limelight, to spend more time for her family and studies. And no sooner, she returned with Anjali Menon's Koode. Currently, both Fahadh and Nazriya are working together in Anwar Rasheed's movie titled 'Trance'.
