Hollywood actor James Cosmo has joined the cast of director Karthik Subbaraj's long-awaited action thriller, with Dhanush in the lead.
James Cosmo is known for his performance in much acclaimed series Game of Thrones, where the actor plays the role of Lord Commander Jeor Mormont. He is also known for films like Braveheart, Troy, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe.
Director Karthik Subbaraj himself posted a warm welcome message for James Cosmo.
Earlier, Karthik Subbaraj had confirmed approaching Hollywood star Al Pacino for a crucial role in the film.
Tentatively titled D40, the film is scheduled to go on the floors soon in London. Reports say that Dhanush plays an Indian gangster in the film and he will be clashing against a gangster from Europe.
Malayalam stars Aishwarya Lekshmi and Joju George are set to make their Tamil debut with the film.
