Stills of Mukesh and Mukesh Khanna (R) as Shaktimaan

After Oru Adaar Love, director Omar Lulu is gearing up with his upcoming movie Dhamaka. And it looks like even before the release of the movie, the director has landed in hot water.

A few weeks back, a few location snaps from the movie had gone viral where actor Mukesh was seen dressed up as superhero Shaktimaan. Now, the iconic Hindi TV superhero Shaktimaan fame Mukesh Khanna himself has come out against the director alleging copyright violation.

Stating that he is the copyright holder of the character Shaktimaan, his costume and theme music, Mukesh Khanna in a letter to the FEFKA directors' union pointed that no one can use this character in a film without his permission.

Reacting to the notice, Omar Lulu told Onmanorama that Dhamaka is a fun-filled movie and Mukesh's Shaktimaan character comes only in a funny sequence for a short duration. He said he will clarify to Mukesh Khanna regarding the character and the sequence.

Omar said that 80 per cent of shoot is over and a week's schedule in Pattaya will begin in a while.

The movie stars Olympian Anthony Adam' fame Arun Kumar, Nikki Galrani, Dharmajan, Urvashi and Innocent.

While Sarang Jayaprakash, Venu O V, and Kiran Lal have worked on the script, Sinoj P Ayyappan has been roped in as the cinematographer.
