The funeral of Malayalam actor Sathar was held on Tuesday evening.
Sathar's ex-wife Jayabharathi, who married him in 1979 and parted ways in 1987, too had joined for the last rites along with their son Krish at the former's house at Kodungalloor.
Jayabharathi and Krish were seen making their way through the crowd to see the body.
As soon as she saw Sathar's mortal remains, the actress broke down. Krish kissed his father's forhead while Jayabharathi was seen crying uncontrollably.
Earlier in the day, many from the movie industry including Mammootty, Anto Joseph, Prithviraj, Nandu, Siddique and Janardhanan had come to pay their last respects to the actor.
“Sathar had been a good actor and a good human being. Moreover, he was a good friend to me. Just like every death is a loss, this too is a big loss to the film industry,” Mammootty had remarked.
The veteran actor had passed away on Tuesday morning after prolonged illness.
