Manju Warrier approached for Rajinikanth's next film: reports

Manju Warrier and Rajinikanth

After much acclaimed Asuran, actor Manju Warrier is likely to team up with actor Rajinikanth. According to reports, Manju Warrier has been approached to play the lead in Rajini's yet-to-be-titled film with director Siva.

Reportedly, both Siva and Rajinikanth were impressed with Manju Warrier's performance in Asuran and sources suggest that the makers are trying to convince the actress for Rajini 169 as well.

In Asuran, directed by Vetrimaaran, Manju Warrier played Dhanush’s wife. The film Asuran has now reportedly entered the 100 crore club.

Manju has a couple of movies in her kitty, including Santhosh Sivan's Jack and Jill, Prathi Poovankozhi directed by Rosshan Andrrews, Sanal Kumar Sasidharan's Kattayam which she is also producing, and the multi-starrer Marakkar: Arabikkadalinte Simham helmed by Priyadarshan.

It was just last week that Sun Pictures announced the project currently dubbed as Thalaivar 168. The production house is joining hands with Rajinikanth after Enthiran and Petta.
