Mazhavil Manorama wins 4 State Television Awards

Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala state television awards were announced on Wednesday. Mazhavil Manorama bagged four awards and Manorama News one award.

Mazhavil Manorama secured four awards including the best telefilm award for Kallan Marutha (ADN Gold) directed by K C Rajil.

Jaijee Mathew of Manorama News bagged best news cameraman award for shooting the year long travails of couples living in water logged Kannamali Laksham Veedu Colony in Kochi.

'Marimayam' of Mazhavil Manorama directed by Mithun Chettoor was adjudged best comedy programme. Shalu Kurian won the second best actress for Aksharathettu, Ambutty bagged the dubbing award for Aksharathettu and Suryakanthi. Meanwhile, Salim Hassan got a special mention (Comedian for Marimayam) also bagged awards from Mazhavil Manorama.

 

Nothing worthy

Culture minister Saji Cherian said no work was found worthy for the best serial, best director and art director awards this year as well.
