The film world is praying for the return of Vava Suresh, who is in the Medical College Hospital in critical condition after being bitten by a cobra. Jayaram, Seema G Nair, Santosh Pandit, Bineesh Bastin, Subi Suresh, Lakshmi Priya, Nadirsha, and many others came up with “Get Well soon” posts about Vava Suresh.
“God is with you and our prayers are with you,” wrote Jayaram on Facebook, while Subi Suresh wrote that she had heard that “Vava Suresh's condition is serious and prayed for the return of this good man.” Nadirshah also expressed his grief—"Nothing will happen to my brother as the whole world is praying for you. God is there to protect my dear brother.”
‘I am praying for your speedy recovery. Please come back to life quickly. Didn’t I tell you to be careful the other day? But then you told me that this was a yearly occurrence. Praying for you” was what Seema G Nair wrote.
“I am praying for the speedy recovery of Sureshettan, who is undergoing treatment for snakebite. He has a talent that none of us have. Society needs him. Scientific, safe and non-invasive methods, tools, and systems are in place today to catch snakes. In the future though, I beg you to take more safety measures while catching a snake,” wrote Santosh Pandit.
The popular snake-catcher and herpetologist received the bite from the Cobra as he was trying to catch the 7-foot-long snake from a house compound at Kurichi near Kottayam on Monday. The famed snake-catcher is undergoing treatment at the Kottayam Medical College Hospital.
Meanwhile, hospital sources informed that Vava Suresh's health has improved slightly. Suresh's brain function has improved partially. Blood pressure also has returned to normal, and his heart rate is also normal. The doctors treating Suresh said that his health was improving as expected.
Suresh is currently on a ventilator in the intensive care unit. He was stung on the right knee at around 4.30 pm yesterday while trying to catch a cobra at Karinattukavala. He was admitted to a private hospital in Kottayam and was later taken to the medical college hospital.
The snake was spotted a week ago among the granite stones piled up in a house at Karinattukavala. Though they called Suresh as he was recovering from an accident, he couldn’t reach the location on the same day. Yesterday he was bitten while attempting to move the six-foot-long cobra into a sack after dangling it by the tail. At first, the snake snorted but he escaped. However, the second time he was stung on the leg. Suresh left the snake and sat on the ground but somehow the snake was caught and transferred to a larger bottle.
As the vehicle, that was taking him to the hospital reached Kottayam, Suresh fainted. He was admitted to a private hospital in Kottayam. The persistence of blood clots was a cause for concern. He was shifted to Kottayam Medical College Hospital for specialist treatment. Minister VN Vasavan visited him at the hospital. Minister Veena George announced that Suresh will be given free treatment.
