Actor Salim Kumar’s speech, made during a music event at a temple, is going viral on social media. In the video, Salim Kumar can be heard explaining why he decided to attend the function, which was organised by Nadirshah's brother Samad Suleiman.

“Samad said, Brother, there is a function at our temple. Can you come? I liked how he used the word 'our temple.' That’s why I came because as far as I know, Samad is a Muslim. It was refreshing to hear a Muslim calling a temple his own,” said Salim Kumar. “Artists have no religion…love and brotherhood are their religion,” he declared.

Samad’s music event was held as part of the festival at Eroor Murugan Temple. Many people have appreciated the actor's words and also praised Samad Suleiman for his secular view. Actor Nirmal Palazhi said the veteran actor's words were very relevant, especially in today's times. “Salim Kumar’s words at Samad’s musical event held at the Eroor Murugan temple is very relevant in today’s times,” he wrote, while sharing the video.
