The film 'Dominic and the Ladies' Purse', directed by the superhit filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon and starring megastar Mammootty, has received an overwhelming response from audiences and continues to be screened. This marks Gautham Menon’s first Malayalam film, and through this project, Kannada actress Sushmitha Bhat has made her debut in Malayalam cinema.

Sushmita plays the character of Nandita in the film. A classical dancer, she has delivered an exceptional performance in this role. The video of the song 'Margazhi', which showcases Sushmitha’s dance, is currently gaining significant attention on social media. With her debut Malayalam film, Sushmitha has earned both audience and critical acclaim. Before this, she had gained attention for her performances in films like 'Kaljiga' and 'Chow Chow Bath'. Gautam Vasudev Menon, who has directed numerous superhits in Tamil, has also made a successful debut in Malayalam with this film.
In the movie, Mammootty plays the role of CI Dominic, a detective who, along with his assistant, portrayed by Gokul Suresh, works to unravel the mystery surrounding a missing purse.
